If you are planning to book cheap UK hotels online, then there are some things you need to be aware of. The internet is awash with sites offering you the cheapest packages or rooms, but they may not all be everything they claim.

Issues to Consider

It is very easy to go online and be overwhelmed by the amount of information out there. Since every site offers you 'the best', 'the cheapest' etc., it can feel like a minefield, so here are some pointers to help you get the best deal if you're planning a trip to London or anywhere in the UK, but working within a tight budget.

  • Check to see if breakfast is included in the price. Often, websites or hotels will leave out the price for breakfast and then, when you arrive, you will find that breakfast costs £7.50 and it's only a croissant with some coffee . . . worse, you can get the same thing in a café down the street for much less.
  • Check to see if there is a 'special deal' if you eat dinner in the hotel. This can often work out much less expensive than eating elsewhere.
  • If time permits, take an email address (not the booking form) and independently email the hotel, asking for their 'best rate' for a room. Often you will find that they will come back with a better price than is listed on the website.
  • Use a comparison website to check out all the prices and find the best deals, from there, you can visit each hotel's independent website and work out which meets your needs.
  • If you are booking into any hotel, those which face the car park or don't have a very good view are traditionally less expensive than the ones with the fantastic views. If you're only going to be sleeping in the room, why bother about the view anyway?

After you decide to book cheap UK hotels online, then all you need to do is to work through the information above, to try and beat the price even further down. Don't finalize anything until you have checked that you have got the best deals going.
